Stainless Steel- These sinks will hold up well temperature extremes, rough use and impacts if objects fall on them. They are usually found in restaurant kitchens and commercial applications because of the low cost, durability and ease of cleaning.
Glass, Copper, Concrete and Terrazzo – Designed and created for their aesthetic appreal these sinks offer a wide variety of shapes, colors, sizes and price ranges.
Plastic – These sinks are long lasting, stylish, and are often molded with an integrated countertop or joined to a separate countertop in a smooth fashion. While these sinks may get damaged by hot objects, the damaged areas can sometimes be sanded to expose undamaged material. While generally these sinks are the less expensive option there are higher end plastic sinks with acrylic finishes. These are mounted from below the counter or dropped in to a counter top hole.
