4 Philadelphia Celebrities To Dress Up As This Halloween

Tis the season for clogged potties.

Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-flush the toilet.

Actually, it’s not even close to Christmas time. What am I talking about? Let’s save that ridiculous remix for December. It’s time to focus on Halloween.

It’s me again, Benjamin “The Blogger” Franklin. As usual, I am here to help common folk (like you) improve their lives. Where should I begin … Hmmmm … [Remembers original topic he is thinking.] Oh I have an idea …

Do you have your costume ready? Let me guess … Mario? Batman? Hulk Hogan? How original.

Time to get creative. Why don’t we channel our inner-Philadelphian and dress up as something classic – something everybody in the area will know and love …

Here are four Philadelphia-themed Halloween costumes that will make you the life of any party in Philly or South Jersey:

Rocky Balboa – Everybody loves Rocky. Not just Philadelphians. The allure of a boxing underdog makes for an epic costume this Halloween.  Picture it now: You are dressed up with comfy shorts, a fake black eye, and boxing gloves yelling things like:

  •  “Nobody owes nobody nothin’. You owe yourself.”
  • “You’re gonna eat lightning, and you’re gonna crap thunder!” – If that happens, call us. We are the best plumbers around Cherry Hill, and we will take care of all of your toilet’s woes.
  • “Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place, and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.”
  • “I guess what I’m trying to say is – if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change.”

Fresh Prince – Everybody loves Will Smith.  He’s one of the coolest cats from the 90’s, and everybody knows he originates from the City of Brotherly Love. If you don’t want to be Will in his Fresh Prince form, there are tons of other roles that would make a great costume…

  • Men In Black
  • Independence Day
  • I Am Legend
  • Bad Boys

Julius Erving – A great costume for sports fans. All you need is a basketball jersey, a pair of Converse, an afro, and some swagger.

Benjamin Franklin – You thought I would forget to mention myself? Oooohhhh no. Go grab a kite, a key and some old-timey garments and you can do your best to be me for a day!
